Pack 10 and Troop 16  are chartered by Little Zion Lutheran Church, where all three organizations strive to create the leaders of tomorrow.

Today's eBlast will focus exclusively on the Pinewood Derby.  Please read it carefully:

• First and foremost the Pinewood Derby is the most significant Pack undertaking in terms of needing volunteers for the year.  There are dozens of volunteer positions that need to be filled including set up on Friday night (which is very time-consuming) to "day of" volunteers.  Most volunteer positions only require services for a small portion of the race.  The more people that volunteer, the less work it will be for everyone.  There is a core group of volunteers that have put in a significant amount of preparation and we need other people to step up and do their share.  We are asking each family to volunteer for at least one food item and one volunteer position.  The sign-up genius is available on the following link:

• Pinewood Derby:  The pinewood derby theme will be "movies".  If you did not get your scout's car kit please let me know, otherwise they will be available for pick up at Little Zion on the night of Den meetings on January 7, 2019. Build clinics will be held on 1/8, 1/12, 1/15 and 1/19.  For those that do not know, Little Zion has a full workshop in the basement of the Parish House and the pack owns many of the specialized tools that help in the construction of cars.  The rules of the race are attached and all families should review them carefully.  Cars will be weighed and impounded on 1/24 from 6:30 -8:30 p.m.  This will be held in in the Church House which is the house across the parking lot from the church. The race will be 1/26 with all families to be at Fellowship Hall by 8:30 a.m.  Note that we will not be serving a full breakfast but lunch will be served.  Build clinics are online and open for sign up.

• Lehigh Valley Phantoms Game:  Registration is live for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms minor league hockey game.  The game is at February 9, 2019 at 7:05 p.m. and is against the Hartford Wolf Pack.  Our scouts will serve as the "color guard" on the ice before the game. Cost is $18.00 per ticket.  Registration for family members is now open as well.  We acquired 10 addition tickets but even those seem to be going fast.  Registration closes January 9.

• Pack 10 Holiday Party:  The Pack 10 Holiday Party is December 10, 2018 @6:30 p,m.  In addition to games and popcorn awards, we will be distributing Pinewood Derby kits and information.
